Will was born on Aug. 15, 1976 in Clinton, IA the son of Kimberli Rixen. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1995. In his early career, Will worked in various capacities, helping open casinos in several states. He then found his true calling as an elementary school teacher, where he left a lasting mark on students in Clinton, Goose Lake, Preston, Davenport, Savanna, and Bettendorf. Dedicated to his profession, he earned two master’s degrees during his many years of teaching.

Will’s vibrant and one-of-a-kind personality was unforgettable. He was always the life of the party, with a knack for “shenanigans” that always kept everyone entertained. He had a way of making people laugh until their cheeks hurt. He found joy in traveling, crafting, gardening, canning, and cooking. Will’s proudest accomplishment was his daughter, Piper. Everything he did in life was for her and with her in mind. From a young age, Will’s only dream was to be a father, a role he embraced completely. But more than anything, Will’s greatest joy was taking Piper and Madalyn on grand adventures, making sure they saw and experienced all that the world had to offer.

Will is survived by his daughter, Piper Wiesner of Clinton, IA; his father and three half-brothers; several cousins, Madalyn, Lynn, Amy, Renee, Mary, Zach, and Joey; two uncles, Chris (Christy) and Dave; and his dogs, Bizzy and Bean. He was preceded in death by his mother, Kimberli; step-father, Scott; grandparents; uncle, Joe; aunt, Sue; cousin, Angie and his beloved dog, Shampoo.
