Jacqueline “Jackie” Bostock, 88, a native of Clinton and resident of Houma, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at St. Joseph Hospice Carpenter House, in River Ridge, Louisiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Prince of Peace Parish. Burial will follow at St. Irenaeus Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Pape Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be John Barger Jr., Michael Barger Sr., Dillon Guillory, Ryan Ekstrom, and other family members. Honorary pallbearers will be Jhett Guillory, Nolan Rainey, and Michael Barger Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph Hospice Foundation, stjosephhospicefoundation.org

Jackie was born on January 8, 1938, in Clinton, the daughter of Carl and Clara (Sorensen) Williams. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1956. On April 10, 1959, she married Richard Bostock in Fulton. He preceded her in death in 2007. Jackie worked as a Medicare clerk at Mercy Hospital. In 2018, Jackie moved to South Louisiana to live with her oldest daughter. During that time, she enjoyed visiting family and taking several vacations to the beach. She adapted well to life in Louisiana and embraced the warm weather. Over the years, she also came to enjoy many local traditions, including Mardi Gras, and even tried crawfish.

She is survived by her daughters, LaVina Bostock of Houma and Lisa (John) Barger of Fenton; grandchildren, William (Amber) Suter, Nichole Larkey (Dillon) Guillory, Laurie Rainey, Megan Suter, John Barger Jr., Michael (Carlie) Barger Sr., and Samantha Barger; great-grandchildren, Conner Cole, Jhett Guillory, Everlee Barger, Nolan Rainey, Jolie Guillory, Michael Barger Jr., and twins Aurelia and Penelope Suter; great-great-granddaughter Kinley Cole; a sister, Marietta “Mary” (Thomas) Daehler; along with four nieces and four nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard T. Bostock; granddaughter Heather Barger; two great-granddaughters, Ella Suter and Camille Guillory; her parents; brother George C. Williams and his wife, Louise; sister Frances Milder; two nieces; and one great-niece.
