Mary A. (Lampe) McChane age 96

Mary (Lampe) McChane age 96 of Clinton, formerly of Camanche, passed away Friday Oct. 23, 2026 at The Alverno, Clinton. Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday Oct. 28th at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Wednesday 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Following the graveside service, a luncheon will be held at the Camanche Bowling Alley at 2:30 p.m. Family and friends, including those who were unable to attend the funeral, are warmly invited to gather for a time of fellowship, remembrance, and sharing cherished memories. Mary was born on Nov. 4, 1929 in Iowa City, IA the daughter of Donald and Ruth (Anderson) Lampe. She married Ray McChane on Nov. 8, 1947 in Clinton, IA. He died in 2006. Mary worked as psych tech at hospitals in Clinton, retiring in 1992. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her family. She also enjoyed bowling, fishing, puzzles, CHOCOLATES, and sharing beers & cocktails with family and friends. Mary’s love, laughter, and cherished memories will remain forever in the hearts of her family, grandchildren, and all who knew and loved her.
Mary is survived by her three children, Billie (Ray) Birkett of Clinton, IA, Randy McChane of Dallas, TX, and Mark (Teresa) McChane of Davenport, IA; seven grandchildren, Jason, Christy, David, Sundie, Mike, Kelli, and Kyle; eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband-Ray, her son-Daniel, three sisters, and two brothers.
