Robert “Bob” Hake – 87

Robert Carl Louis “Bob” Hake age 87 of Clinton passed away Monday, April 27, 2026 at the Alverno. In following Bob’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Friday, May 1st at the Pape Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
Bob was born in Clinton on December 2, 1938, the son of Henry and Marie (Jensen) Hake. After graduating from Clinton High School, Bob married Janice Kirst on July 11, 1958 at Zion Lutheran in Clinton. Janice passed away on April 24, 2017. Bob was employed at Clinton Corn Processing Company/ADM for 42 years. Bob was a hard worker who enjoyed spending time with his family, his grandchildren, woodworking, and traveling, especially to Branson.
Bob is survived by 3 sons; Mark Hake of Clinton, Richard (Kathryn) Hake of Olatha, KS, and Jeffery (Beverly) Hake of Moulton, AL; 10 grandchildren, Drew, Darron, Dolan, Benjamin, Austin, Jeffery, Jr., Jordan, Kirstyn, Kyle, and Kelsey; 14 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter and a brother-in-law, Jay Kuchel. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Janice, a daughter, Lisa, a daughter-in-law, Kay, and 2 sisters, Mary and Linda. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
