John Springer, 73 of Clinton, formerly of Mt. Carroll, passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. According to his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A burial will take place in Hampshire, IL at a later date. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.
John Edward Springer was born in Sycamore, IL on February 1, 1953, the son of Paul and Barbara (Hinkle) Springer. He graduated from Mt. Carroll in 1971. John was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, and trapping.
John is survived by his brother, Rich (Kathy) Springer of Clinton; his sister, Nancy Springer of Clinton; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Larry and Bill Springer. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
