Kimberly Kay Denton, age 60 of Clinton, passed away Monday, January 24, 2022 at her home. According to her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A gathering of family and friends will be held from Noon to 3 PM on Saturday, January 29th, at the Pape Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 3 PM. Kim was born on March 12, 1961 in Ft. Worth, TX, the daughter of Donald and Bernadine (Reed) Denton. She graduated from Davenport Central High School. Kim worked at Wendy’s for 10 years. She was very dedicated to her recovery and was very proud of the extra 12 years she was given. Kim enjoyed hanging with family and friends and was an avid reader.

Kim is survived by her father, Donald from Denton, TX; her siblings, Leslie (Jay Patty) Denton of Clinton and Mark (Tanya) Denton of Dallas, TX; a nephew Jarod Denton; a niece Kirsten (Tim) Jibbens, both of TX; and best friend Kim Haley of Buffalo, IA. She was preceded in death by her mother Bernadine; a brother Jim Denton; a sister Kelly Jean Potts; her longtime boyfriend Jerry Sisneros; and step-mother Cricket Denton.
