Juanita G. Steiner, age 87 of Clinton, passed away Monday, March 1, 2021 at Eagle Point Nursing Home. Cremation rites will be accorded. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 1:00 to 3:00 PM Saturday, March 6, 2021 at the Pape Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will begin at 3:00 PM. Burial will be at a later date in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Juanita was born in Springfield, IL on March 4, 1933, the daughter of Mary Jane Walton. She graduated from Ashland High School, Ashland, IL. Juanita married Darrell Steiner on April 5, 1953 in Ashland. Darrell passed away on January 18, 2001. Juanita had been employed as a secretary with Pillsbury and at the Job Corps before joining Mangold, Goerdt, Larson, and Stierman, later Clifton Gunderson from where she retired. She was a member of the Community Congregational Church, Loyal Order of Moose, Eagle Club and the former Odeon Club. She enjoyed golfing, and watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren playing ball.
Juanita is survived by her son David (Karen) Steiner of Clinton; 3 grandchildren, Kurt (Carly) Steiner of Clinton, Megan Springer of Englewood, CO, and Jessica (Ian) Friedlander of Dunwoody, GA; 6 great grandchildren, Drew, Molly, Isabella, Ben, Noah, and Luke; her sister, Naomi Hand of Pleasant Plains, IL and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and her husband. Memorials may be made to Clinton Junior Baseball. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
