Lucille Elizabeth “Betty” Saionz passed away peacefully on August 16, 2026, at the remarkable age of 100. Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside service to be held 11:00 AM Saturday Aug. 22nd at St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Born on April 17, 1926, in Toledo, Ohio, to Karl and Florence Selter, Betty lived a rich, vibrant life filled with adventure. She married the love of her life, Martin Saionz, with whom she raised their two sons, Karl and Jeffery. Over her century of life, Betty embraced new journeys, calling Ohio, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Arizona, Texas, and Florida home.
Betty’s legacy lives on through her sons, Karl (Joanne) and Jeffery (Nancy); her grandchildren, Sarah, Rebecca, and Matthew; and her five cherished great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Martin, and her brother, William.
