Joseph A. Carter age 73 of Acworth, GA, formerly of Clinton, passed away Wednesday Sept. 29, 2021 at his home in Georgia. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday Oct. 9th at the Pape Funeral Home, Clinton. Visitation will be held Saturday 10:00 AM until the service hour at Pape Funeral Home. Joseph was born on Aug. 4, 1948 in Clinton, IA, the son of Clarence and Marie (Stahl) Carter. He married Rosemarie Wilkins on July 5, 1998 in Florida. Joseph was a Local Union Carpenter in Iowa for many years.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Rosemarie Carter of Acworth, GA; his brother, David Carter of Davenport, IA; his sister, Marianne (Paul) Wenzel of Clinton, IA; two grandsons, Donavin Carter and Hunter Cawthon; and several nieces & nephews including Ryan Carter of DeWitt, IA, Valerie Carter of Bettendorf, IA, Matthew Carter of Hampton, IL, and Clarence David Carter from Rio Vista, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Kristina Carter, a brother, Clarence, a nephew, Johnny Grosskruger.
