Janie was born on September 19, 1952 in Clinton, IA the daughter of Donald and Janis (Schultz) Johnson. She graduated from Clinton High School. She was an LPN, working at the hospital and at The Alverno; and more lately at Dudads-Hallmark Store, Clinton.
Janie was the kind of person who brightened the whole room just by walking in and showing her warm effortless smile. She was a good listener, caring, compassionate and thoughtful.
She was very devoted to her family, friends and coworkers. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She attended their events and was a constant source of love and support to them. She was a wonderful mother to Nathan.
She enjoyed playing pool and to her teammates, she was more than a pool league partner. She was a source of laughter, encouragement and friendship. Janie brought people together with her genuine heart and her easy-going nature. Whether celebrating a win or lifting spirits after a tough night, she had a way of making every moment lighter.
Janie is survived by her son, Nathan (Michelle) Moore of Clinton, IA; her four grandchildren, Ashten, Ethan, Payton, and Brayden; two brothers, Donald and Richard Johnson, both of Clinton, IA; 2 uncles, Dick and Robert, 2 aunts Dee Dee and Mary Beth, several nieces & nephews, many beloved friends who were like family and her dear little dog, Pooh Bear who will all miss her greatly. She was preceded in death by her parents and a niece, Michelle.

Janie was a good friend. I knew her and her Dad from Zion Lutheran and then she helped me at DuDads. She was a friend to everyone. I will miss her.
I will miss seeing and talking with you at the pool tournaments… Rest in peace my dear friend…
Janie always had a hug and a smile for everyone. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Janie was the epitomy “optomistic, half-full sunshine on Any day person.” To know her is a gift, to work side by side and be her friend…priceless!!! RIP sweet, funny friend.
Janie was one of the sweetest and kindest people I have ever known. What a privilege to have known her. Always willing to listen, never negative. An inspiration to everyone. She was loved and will be missed by a lot of people whose lives she touched.
I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of Janie. Janie had such a beautiful heart and soul. To know her was to love her. She would always talk about the love she had for her family. I met her at the Alverno and I swear we all were her family there too. Prayers for all
Dear Janies Family
I worked with Janie at Clinton Target, eventually caught up with her at The Alverno where she took excellent care of my mom.
My mom always was happy when Janie would check on her. When she went to work at Dudads, she helped me order a book on Switzerland,
my husband and I were going on a trip.
Janie was a very kind person to everyone.
Enjoy the special memories.

I worked with Janie often at The Alverno as a new nurse and she was always so kind and helpful to me. I loved her sense of humor and was always happy to see her. My thoughts go out to all those affected by her passing.
I worked with Janie at DuDads Hallmark. She always ended my shift with a “love you”. Another quote was if I apologized for screwing up, she would say “nothing to be sorry for”. Janie Johnson was one of the sweetest people I ever met.
