Janet Ann Miracle age 86

Janet Ann Miracle age 86 of Clinton, IA passed away Thursday Dec. 28, 2023 at The Alverno, Clinton. Cremation rites will be accorded and a Celebration of Life to be held Saturday Jan. 13th from Noon – 3:00 PM at the Community Congregational Church UCC has been cancelled due to weather, a future date will be announced. Janet was born on June 1, 1937 in Clinton, IA the daughter of Frank and Elta (Riemers) Scofield. She graduated from CHS in 1955. She worked as a secretary for Irving School for over 20 years, retiring in 1999. She was a member of Community Congregational Church UCC and the Clinton Educational Secretary Assoc. She enjoyed going to the Threshers Reunion in Mt. Pleasant, IA and going camping.
Janet is survived by three daughters, Julie Jewell of Clinton, Susan (David) Specht of Charlotte, and Barbara Miracle of Clinton; two sons, Jeffrey (Connie) Edens of Davenport and James (Kristie) Miracle of Rock Falls, IL; three step-sons, Tim (Myrna) Miracle, Tom (Barb) Miracle, and Jackie Miracle Jr.; 12 grandchildren, Ethan, Amber, Nikki, Brandon, Derrick, Robin, David, Danny, Christopher, Ericka, Audrey, and Destinee; several step-grandchildren; several great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
