Charles L. “Chuck” Levsen age 82 of Clinton, IA passed away Monday June 8, 2026 at The Alverno Health Care Facility, Clinton. Cremation rites have been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held July 11th at the Presbyterian Church in Miles, IA. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family. Chuck was born on Aug. 22, 1943 in Davenport, IA the son of Lloyd and Margaret (Hansen) Levsen. He graduated from Grand Mound High School. He married Gail Burke on June 12, 2002 in DeWitt, IA. He worked as an instructor as an auto mechanic for over 30 years at Eastern Iowa Community College. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Miles, IA. He was a single prop private pilot, flying the Cherokee 180, 140 Tail Dragger, and the Air Coupe. He enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle, and boating.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Gail Levsen of Clinton, IA; two sons, Shawn (Adrianne) Levsen of San Antonio, TX and Justin Levsen of Hazel Park, MI; his granddaughter, Madeleine Levsen of Telluride, CO; step children, Scott (Jennifer) Huling of Clinton, IA and Megan (Dan) Bruncheen of Monticello, IA; five step grandchildren, Nora, Reed, Lauren, Adam, and Stephan; a brother, John Levsen of Toronto, IA; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Rick.
