James E. “Fuzz” Galloway, age 73 of Low Moor, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Mercy One Hospital in Clinton. In following Jim’s wishes cremation rites will be accorded. A Celebration of Life will take place from 2:00 to 5:00 PM on Friday, April 22, 2022 at the Pape Funeral Home, Clinton.

Fuzz was born in Grand Mound on November 1, 1948, the son of Harold and Earline (Riggs) Galloway. He attended Grand Mound and DeWitt schools. He graduated from Preston High School in 1967. Fuzz served with the US Army during the Vietnam War, stationed in Korea. He married Beverly “Bev” Mussmann on October 16, 1971 in Preston. Fuzz was a life-long truck driver, driving for several different companies. He played softball for many years and later coached a girls team at Geno’s in Preston. Fuzz enjoyed listening to Jimmy Buffet, country music and having a beer and socializing with his friends. He was an avid sports fan, following the Chicago Bears and Cubs and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Fuzz is survived by his wife Bev; 2 brothers, Larry (Pat) Galloway and Earl Galloway; 3 sisters, Barb Schroeder, Marcia (Ron) Barten and Linda Miller, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters, Rhea, Darlene and Delores; and 7 brothers, Jerry, Don, Dwain, Alan, Roger, Russ and Geff.
