Anthony Alan Schneider age 52 of Davenport, IA, passed away Tuesday Jan. 12, 2021 at his home. A private service and burial will be held at a later date. The Pape Funeral Home, Clinton, Iowa is assisting the family. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery, Clinton. Memorials can be made to the Iowa City VA Hospital at: 601 US-6 W, Iowa City, IA 52246.
Anthony was born on July 18, 1968 in Davenport, IA, the son of Gary and Judith (Mahmens) Schneider, Sr. He was a former employee at John Deere Company in East Moline, IL. His interests and activities included fishing, camping, and volunteered at food pantries. He was a self- taught guitarist and excelled in moto-cross and straight track racing. Anthony was a person of integrity, compassion, and showed sincere dedication to those he trusted.
He was preceded in death by his father-Gary Schneider Sr., his grandparents, Willard and Mildred Mahmens of Princeton, IA and Orville and Sophie Schneider of Clinton, IA, and an uncle, Ron Mahmens of Arkansas and an aunt, Mary Jo Murphy.
Anthony is survived by his son, Anthony Thomas Schneider of Moline, IL; his mother, Judy Schneider of Clinton, IA; a brother, Gary (Toni)Schneider Jr. of Camanche, IA, his aunt, Sherry Woodford of Tipton, IA, Penny (Eugene) Roling, Ann Hubbart;and three uncles, Mr. and Mrs. W.J. (Sherry) Mahmens, Robert (Kathy) Mahmens both of Arkansas, and David (Kay Schneider; and his best friend “Jim”.
We always called Tony our other twin. Our son was born 1 day before Tony. We miss him so much. Please let us come to say goodby. We loved him.
We are so very sorry for your loss. Jim and I thought of Tony as another son. he’ll be so missed. If we could we would like to come to his memorial. You are all in our prayers.
We are sorry for your loss. Tony was a great neighbor. He was very helpful in many ways. We loved visiting with him. We often would took him some special treats. We will miss him.
