Bill grew up in Clinton Iowa and started his family there. After leaving Iowa, he moved to Pensacola Fl. And then, after the death of his wife Marie Katherine Fredericksen in 2006, Bill retired a few years later and moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas to enjoy his time on the lakes fishing. Bill was a modern-day MacGyver. He was one that many would turn to for help when in need. Bill’s sense of humor, knowledge, work ethic and big heart earned him many friends everywhere he went. Bill was known as “Fred”, “uncle bill”, “papa”, “grandpa bill”, “brother”, “willy”, “Billy”, “Dad”, and best friend. His sense of humor was his biggest asset and he kept it up right to the very end. When we were in tears, he would manage to mumble something goofy to make us laugh. He will be missed by not only us, but so many others.
He is survived by his brothers Raymond “Ray” Fredericksen, Kenneth “Kenny” Fredericksen and his sisters Charlotte Akin and Marsha Fredericksen. He is also survived by his children, Scott Fredericksen, Machale Fredericksen, and Lisa Filippini. He was blessed with 5 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Dennis “Denny” Fredericksen, Donald “Don” Fredericksen, and his sister Sonya Pine. The family requests memorials to be made to the Clinton Amvets.
