Paul L. “Paulie” Jenkin, age 82 of Clinton, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022 at the Alverno. In following Paulie’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. No services are being planned at this time. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Paulie was born in Clinton on June 18, 1940, the son of Cecil and Clara (Grawet) Jenkin. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1958. He served with the Iowa National Guard. Paulie married Jacqueline Dorsey on June 6, 1959 in Clinton. He later married Carol Voss. He was employed as a litho pressman at International Paper for over 42 years, retiring in 2002. Paulie enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, camping on the river, attending the Turkey Federation, Whitetails, and Ducks Unlimited Banquets as well as his social hour everyday at Geno’s next door.
Paulie is survived by 2 children; Tim (Heather) Jenkin of Clinton and Brenda Jenkin (Deb) of Sabula; 4 grandchildren, Isaac (Nicole), Forest (Caitlin), Aurora, and Atarah; 2 sisters, Joan Mosser of OR and Pam (Lance) Affarth of CA; a brother, Robert (Carol) Jenkin of TX; a sister-in-law, Jewel Jenkin of CA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and special friends, Harvey and Bonnie Evers of Clinton. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 infant grandchildren, Ashley and Isiah. The family would like to thank Dave and Laura Kuhl and Dick Leonard for all the care and time they spent making sure Paulie made all of his appointments, and also to the staff at the Alverno and Hospice Compassus.
