Mary A. Wasion – 71

Mary A. Wasion age 71 of Clinton, passed away Monday, March 11, 2024 at her home. A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at the Pape Funeral Home. Following the visitation cremation rites will be accorded.
Mary was born in Davenport on July 30, 1952, the daughter of Dean and Loraine (Tiedeman) Jasper. She graduated from Assumption High School. Mary married Ronald Wasion on November 6, 1970 in Rock Island. She had been a caregiver at Lambs farm in lake Bluff, IL and later at Crabtree House in Kenosha, WI. She was a active member of the 1st Assembly of God Church in Kenosha. She and Ron moved to Clinton in 2017. Mary enjoyed going to yard sales and was an avid collector of odd things, such as pens, salt shakers, and knick-knacks. Her care giving was evident in her life-long care and love of her family.
Mary is survived by her husband Ron; 4 children, Amy (Mike) Rottman, twins, Holli Sands and Heidi McGourirk, and Terri Tate; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren, and 2 brothers, Chris and Dean Jasper. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Ronald II; a sister, Diane, and a brother, Craig. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
