Lucille J. Meyer, age 88, formally of Goose Lake, resided at Fieldstone of DeWitt since 2024 until she passed away Oct, 28, 2026. Lucille was born June 30, 1938 in Clinton, the daughter of William & Florence (Behrens) Gradert. She graduated from Goose Lake Consolidated School in 1956. On November 23, 1957 she was married to Arnold Meyer, Jr. She worked at Community Care, Charlotte for 30 years, where she retired. Lucille and Jr had many good times wintering at Lake Saunders Resort, Mt Dora, FL for 12 years. She enjoyed happy hour with many good friends. Picture was taken celebrating her 80th birthday with family in Las Vegas.
Lucille is survived by daughters Kim Burken, Goose Lake, Tami (Kevin) Empen, Preston and son Mike Meyer, Goose Lake; four grandchildren Danielle (Mike) Horner, Langhorne, PA, Seth (April) Burken, Clinton, Jacob Meyer, LeClaire, Broc Burken (deceased); seven great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild; two siblings Jean Petersen, Goose Lake and Glen (Cary) Gradert, DeWitt. She was preceded in death by her husband Arnold Meyer, Jr; parents William and Florence Gradert; brothers Dean Gradert, Willis Gradert, and Earl Gradert. A private family funeral will be held at a later date. Please no memorials.
