Linda L. Bauer – 78

Linda L. Bauer age 78 of Clinton passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 7, 2026 at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elvira Cemetery.
Linda was born in Clinton on March 20, 1948, the daughter of Donald and Dorothea (Hill) Nielsen. She attended Low Moor schools and graduated from DeWitt High School. Linda married James Bauer on September 20, 1969 in Elvira. James passed away on April 30, 2004. Linda was a member of Elvira Zion Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, crocheting, and going to the casino.
Linda is survived by two children; Chris (Carri) Bauer and Angela Maze both of Clinton; 6 grandchildren, Jordan Bauer, Ashley (Robin) Simmert, Paige (Kyle) McHenry, Gage Bauer, Tristin Maze and Gretchen Bauer; a great grandson, Brandon Sturtz; her sister, Jan Stoll of Decatur, IL, her brother, Ron Nielsen of Clinton.
