Kevin was born in Clinton on December 25, 1969, the son of Roger Cheney and Nancy Meyer Cheney. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1988. Kevin had been employed at HyVee, Skyline Center, Family Video, with the Clinton Lumber Kings and had delivered the Clinton Herald. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church where he enjoyed singing in the choir. He loved playing Bingo at the Moose and at the former Eagles Club. Kevin was an avid sports fan who loved going to Lumber King games and hanging with Louie. He was a fan of the Iowa Hawkeye’s, Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packers. He enjoyed 40 years of participating in the Special Olympics, Boy Scouts, and collecting sport cards.
Kevin is survived by his mother, Nancy Meyer of Clinton; his father, Roger (Janice) Cheney of Clinton; 3 siblings, Lorie (Brian) Vogel, Allan Cheney and Christie (Greg) Anderson all of Clinton; a step-brother, Randy Wall; a step-sister, Julie Wall; his grandmother, Carrie Brightwell of Clinton; a special friend, Paula Hayton of Clinton, and aunts, uncles and several cousins.
