Joan was born on Aug. 17, 1947 in Clinton, IA the daughter of Phillip and Betty Jane (Kurtz) Taylor. She graduated from Clinton High School. Joan married Benny Nylin on Sept. 29, 1966 in Morrison, IL. She was a homemaker and enjoyed family gatherings.
Joan is survived by her husband, Benny Nylin of Clinton, IA; three children, Phillip (Mary) Nylin of Sabula, IA, Christopher (Leigh) Nylin of Clinton, IA, and Kelli Shipley of Clinton, IA; 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
what a shock. Joan &I were best friends, nearly unseparable, through high school and many years after. We drifted apart the past few years as age and health issues slowed us down.

Sorry about your mom’s passing. She was loved and will be missed sorely by us, we enjoyed our visits through all years when we come out to Clinton area to visit you guys and others as well too. Sorry to know there won’t be any services but I and mom will have to arrange a visit to Clinton area sometime in the near future.
