Elizabeth A. “Liz” Fellows, age 80 of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at the Alverno. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 8, 2023 at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Liz was born in Clinton on October 9, 1942, the daughter of Allan and Anna (Gaarde) Weaver. She graduated from Clinton High School and received her BA degree in Education from Iowa Wesleyan College in Mt. Pleasant. Liz taught in the Calamus School District for a few years and was later employed at Iowa American Water. She was a member of Alpha-Xi-Delta Sorority, Erickson Center Knitting Group and the former St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church. Liz enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, knitting, and having a diet Pepsi with her Cheetos.
Liz is survived by 2 children; Linnea Thompson of Waxahachie, TX and Paul (Janice) Fellows of Downers Grove, IL and 4 grandchildren, Parker, Hayden, Grant, and Walker.
