Eileen B. Ginter, age 89, formerly of Beloit, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Fieldstone of Dewitt, Iowa. A service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.

She was born March 21, 1934 in Princeton, New Jersey, the daughter of Garnet and Ethel (Zamba) Brockelbank and graduated from Wesley Junior College in Dover, Delaware earning an Associate degree in 1954. She married Donald Ginter on June 16, 1956 in Hopewell, New Jersey. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Beloit to build their new life together. Eileen worked at F.J. Turner Middle and High School libraries where she enjoyed helping students. In 2018, she and Don moved to Clinton, Iowa to be closer to family.

Eileen’s passion was to use her heart and hands to create artful quilts, tatted pieces, and handmade notecards. She enjoyed connecting with friends and family through handwritten letters and always had a funny story to share. She and Don loved to travel, often visiting local quilt shops and antique stores.
Eileen had a special way of touching people with her humor, kindness and spontaneous joy for life. Growing up in Princeton gave her a unique perspective and inspired her lifelong love for reading and learning.

Eileen is survived by her daughters, Sue (Jed) Ginter Watson of Altoona, WI, Julie (Michael) Dunn of Clinton, IA; three grandchildren, Ashley (Jalan) Bertrand, Erin (Cole) Prichard, and Eric (Anna) Dunn and three great-grandchildren, Ridley and Ellis Bertrand and Kayson Prichard; several nieces, a nephew and sister-in-law Janice Ginter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Beverly.
