Dolores (Tootie) Wulf a resident of Fieldstone in Dewitt IA, previously from Clinton, IA passed away on March 31, 2023. She was born and died on the same day 94 years apart. A visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, April 4 from 5 to 7 at Pape Funeral Home in Clinton IA. A traditional funeral service will be held at 10:30 on Wednesday morning, April 5th at Pape Funeral Home with internment following the service at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Wayne Johnston, Joey and Johnny Portz, Amber and Chris Jerson, and Dustin Collins. A luncheon will be held at the Clinton Moose Club following the ceremony at the cemetery. Dolores was born March 31, 1929 in Goose Lake, IA to Edward and Ermy (Petersen) Yaddof. She grew up on a farm outside of Goose Lake IA with 3 brothers and 2 sisters. She attended school in Goose Lake and participated on her High School basketball team, which went to the state tournament. She was part of the graduating class of 1946. After graduation she was employed at the Rich Toy factory in Clinton, followed by employment at the Clinton Garment Company.

She met Robert Wulf and they were married at St John’s Lutheran Church in Preston IA on December 7, 1953. They established their residence in Clinton, IA and resided there for the 52 years before Robert’s passing. She attended Chancy Lutheran Church for a number of years until its closing. They raised two children a son Dale and daughter Jean. She worked as a homemaker while raising her children. She then joined the workforce as a preschool teacher for 25 years at (Samaritan Child Development Center) Mercy Childcare Center before retiring from there at age 75. Before she retired, she received an award from the Great River Bend Area Agency on Aging recognizing her as an outstanding senior worker for her years of service at the childcare center, where she actively participated in the growth and development of over 400 children during her tenure.

Dolores is survived by her son Dale Wulf, daughter Jean (Colin) Reid, granddaughters Melissa (Jeremiah) Zeien, and Nicole Nebiker, great granddaughters Arya, Ainslee, and Kairie, great grandsons Kole and Dillon, brother Archie (Susan) Yaddof, and sister LaVonne (Robert) Voss, and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, brothers Eldon (Margaret) Yaddof and Edward (Yvonne) Yaddof, sister Lola (Wesley) Kamphuis. The family would like to thank the the staff at Fieldstone in Dewitt, Mercy One CCU in Clinton, and Genesis Hospice for the care they provided in her final days.
She has requested that memorials be directed to the Parkinson’s Foundation or Fieldstone of Dewitt in her honor.
