Delores Voss, age 89 of Clinton, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, September 12th at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery.
Delores was born in Calhoun, MO on July 15, 1934, the daughter of Ralph and Jewell (McMillen) Englehart. She married Kenneth Voss on January 15, 1966 in Clinton. Kenneth passed away on February 15, 2013. In her younger years Delores worked at a furniture factory in Missouri. After coming to Clinton Delores was employed at the Catalog Department at Montgomery Wards, at Fulton Ford, and later at PFC. Delores enjoyed puzzles, watching Westerns and soap operas, and Iowa Hawkeye basketball.
Delores is survived by three children; Sharlene (Ron) Hesse of Topeka, KS, Dory Locey of Clinton, and Monte (Donette) Locey of Clinton; 6 grandchildren, Stephanie (Nicole) Schroeder, Sabrina Gifford, Shauna (Jason) Hansen, Tricia Lechner, Michelle Yergovich, and Jason Lechner; 12 great grandchildren, Kayla, Carson, Daniel, Rory, Amara, Eva, Cade, Isabel, Peyton, Tony, Cali, and Payton and 2 great-great grandsons, Rhett and Ryder.
