Dale L. Kruse age 71 of Clinton, IA passed away Monday, December 28th, 2020 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, IA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the Pape Funeral Home, Clinton, IA. Services will be preceded by visitation at 10:00 AM until the service hour. The family requests due to COVID-19, that those attend please wear a mask and adhere to social distancing. Burial will be held at Springdale Cemetery. Dale was born on January 5th, 1949 in Clinton, IA, the son of Louis and Eunice (Schwartz) Kruse. He graduated from Northeast High School and received his Bachelor Degree from Iowa State University. He was a farmer and banker most of his life. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Andover, IA. Please make memorials towards Faith Lutheran Church. He enjoyed being in the outdoors, traveling, and visiting with his friends at the Andover Grain. He loved his dogs, Zoey, Ziggy and Zuqy. He was loyal and loving to his family, friends and all who knew him.
Dale is survived by his close friend, Jose A Rodriguez of Fort. Lauderdale, Florida; his nephew, Troy (Natalie) Kruse of Eldridge, Iowa; several great nieces & nephews; his uncle, Wallace (Joan) Kruse of Goose Lake, IA; several cousins including, Barb (Todd) Randolph of Goose Lake, IA, Lynn (Joe) Manning of Bondurant, IA, Kelly (Dale) Gluesing of Goose Lake, IA, and Julie (Scott) Hafebier of Charlotte, IA; and special friends, Ken Koupal and Tom Kersting, D.D.S among so many more from the Quad Cities and Fort Lauderdale, FL . He was preceded in death by his parents and special friend, Marv Jensen.
Dale was just a great guy! Worked with him for a very long time and he remained steadfast in his kindness and generosity for others! he will certainly be missed by many!
I always considered Dale a special friend, not only during our school years, but after graduation as well. I will forever miss his smile and sweet personality.
Dale was an awesome guy. He was kind to all. He will be greatly missed.

We were very saddened to learn of Dale’s passing. Our condolences, thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. Dale was a great friend and buddy throughout our school years and beyond. He was like an additional brother to me. Not only Dale, but his Mom & Dad as well. Our families did so many activities and trips together. So many wonderful memories to reminisce about. I will miss him greatly. Rest In Peace my friend. We wish we could express our thoughts in person, but must take precautions because of Covid concerns.
