Carolyn “Joyce” Smith, age 70 of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at her home. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM on Monday, July 10, 2023 at Oakland Cemetery. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Joyce was born in Clinton on August 14, 1952, the daughter of Elmer and Fern (Benson) Forney, Sr. She graduated from Clinton High School. Joyce worked as CNA at nursing homes in Clinton. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, and going for rides.
Joyce is survived by a son, Brian Fumo of Clinton; 2 grandchildren, Madison and Riley, and a special friend Tom Benson of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Bill Benson and Elmer Forney, Jr. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
