
Jerry L. Dierks age 77 of Clinton, IA passed away Saturday Nov. 1, 2025 at Genesis East Hospital in Davenport.  Cremation rites have been accorded. A gathering of friends and family will be held Friday Nov. 7th at the Pape Funeral Home from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. Family requests that guests wear Iowa Hawkeye gear.      Jerry was born on Oct. 19, 1948 in Clinton, IA the son of Delbert and Wilhelmine (Meyer) Dierks.  He graduated from Clinton High School in 1967.  Jerry married Karen Rowan in 1974, celebrating 51 years of marriage on September 7th.  He dedicated 25 years to his career as a firefighter for the City of Clinton Fire Department, proudly retiring as a Lieutenant in 2000. After retirement, he worked as a certified Yamaha mechanic and a federal grain inspector. Jerry cherished time spent with his wife and their friends and enjoyed the outdoors, especially at the family cabin, where he hunted, fished with his children and grandchildren, and relaxed by the river. He was a loyal Iowa Hawkeye fan, spending most Saturdays cheering on his favorite football team.
   Jerry is survived by his wife, Karen; son, Brian Dierks, both of Clinton, IA; daughter, Jennifer Belanger; and grandchildren, Sydney, Tyler, and Alex Belanger, all of Colona, IL; sister, Karen (Bob) Burns of Clinton, IA; brother-in-law, Mike (Barb) Rowan of Garland, TX; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Larry, David, Dale, Danny, and his twin brother, Jim; as well as his son-in-law, Jerry Weir.
