Karen S. Scott, age 70 of Camanche, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at the Alverno. In following Karen’s wishes cremation rites will be accorded. The Celebration of Life will be rescheduled to Saturday November 19, 2022 at the Imperial Lanes in Camanche. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Karen was born in Clinton on November 15, 1951, the daughter of Lyle and Ruth (Shockey) Langfitt. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1970. Karen was a licensed beautician. She married Richard Scott on July 3, 2007 in Clinton. Richard passed away on August 18, 2015. Karen had been employed at Plaza Café, Imperial Lanes, and Walmart. She enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, great granddaughter and family. She and her friends would have breakfast every morning at Spring Garden.
Karen is survived by 2 sons; Brian (Tawnya) Wernick and Kevin Wernick both of Camanche; a granddaughter, Jessica (Malcolm) Desvignes of Clinton; a great granddaughter, Ila Desvignes of Clinton; 2 step-children, Stephanie (Chris) Melvin of Clinton and Brian “BJ” Scott of Minneapolis; 3 step-grandchildren, Alex, Mallory, and Addison; 2 step-great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Pam Langfitt of Camanche and 4 nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard, and a brother, David Langfitt. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
