Carol I. Flack age 74 of Clinton, passed away Monday Aug. 29, 2022 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. Cremation rites have been accorded. A Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday Sept. 3rd at Prince of Peace Parish, Clinton. Burial will be held at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, Clinton. Carol was born on Nov. 5, 1947 in Oak Park, IL, the daughter of Guy and Carol (Wing) Hendricks. She married Clarence Flack on Oct. 25, 1969 in Oak Park, IL. Carol worked as an Administrative Assistant at the US Army Depot in Savanna, IL and McAlester, OK. She had a strong Catholic faith, where she was a member of Prince of Peace Parrish, Clinton.
Carol is survived by her husband, Clarence Flack of Clinton, IA; three children, Sean (Sandy) Flack of Seattle, WA, Heather Dann of Clinton, IA, and Corie (Amanda) Flack of Camanche, IA; four grandchildren, Samantha and Wyatt Dann, Brady and Payton Flack; her brother, Guy (Blanco) Hendricks of Sebring, FL; and four sisters, Barbara Hendricks, Mary Beth (Tom) Carter, Terre Bombard, and Christine Hendricks.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a niece, Carissa.

I worked with Carol at both the Savanna Army Depot and at McAlester, OK. She was a very lovely, sweet lady and a pleasure to work with. My husband and I also lived in the same neighborhood as her and Clarence in McAlester. It was a pleasure to know her. Our sympathies to the family.

Although we have not met Carol Flack, we have heard so much about her from her granddaughter, Samantha Dann. Samantha always had many stories that included”silly grandma”. It was so obvious that there was so much love for each other. We express our great sorrow and sympathy to the entire family.
