Paula R. Kany – 76

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday at the Community Congregational Church, 2300 Pershing Blvd., Clinton. Burial will be at Springdale Cemetery, where military honors will be held. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Paula R. Kany age 76 of Davenport, formerly of Clinton, passed away Wednesday May 22, 2019 at the Good Samaritan Home in Davenport. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday at the Community Congregational Church, 2300 Pershing Blvd., Clinton. Visitation will be held Saturday noon until the service hour at the church. Paula was born on Oct. 31, 1942 in Clinton, the daughter of Paul and Elizabeth (Malone) Larkin. She served in the US Navy from 1961-1964 and 17 years with the Navy Reserves as a nurse. She also was a Quality Assurance Specialist at the Rock Island Arsenal for many years. She loved all her animals and was an avid supporter of the Humane Society. She enjoyed going on bus trips to casinos with her friends. Her quick-witted personality will be sorely missed.

Paula is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Kim Williams) Kany of Kansas City, MO; her sister, Judi Callahan of Clinton; her brother, William “Tip” (Kellye) Larkin of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother-Daniel, and a brother-in-law, Brian.
