Carl was born on Nov. 29, 1937 in Ottumwa, IA, the son of William and Arreita (Garrett) House. He was a veteran of the US Navy. He married Doris Pawski on April 21, 1967 in Belvidere, IL; she died in 2017. He worked at Champion Dairy Pak, Clinton for over 25 years. Carl enjoyed gardening, his dog, Sarah, going to the Casino, horse racing, and playing the lottery.
Carl is survived by his three children, Dea (Chris Carter) Prince, Carla House, and Billy (Amber) House all of Clinton; 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Doris.
