Millicent E. Stahl age 97 of Clinton, passed away Tuesday Jan. 22, 2019 at Genesis East Medical Center in Davenport. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday Jan. 26th at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday 10:00 AM until the service hour at the funeral home. Following the funeral service, the Pape Funeral Home will take care of the burial at Oakland Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Millicent was born on Aug. 17, 1921 in Carroll, IA, the daughter of Herbert and Elizabeth (Schumann) Snyder. She married Richard Stahl on March 29, 1939 in Westside, IA; he died in 1950. She worked at Interstate Power Co. in Clinton for over 33 years in Customer Service. Millicent was very witty and had a great sense of humor. She never met a person whom she didn’t consider them as a friend. She was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan and loved the Mississippi River.
Millicent is survived by her five children, Larry (Judie) Stahl of St. Louis, MO, Allen (Robin) Stahl of Clinton, Jolee (Jack) McKenzie of Morrison, IL, Jon (Teresa) Stahl of Colorado Springs, CO, and Sherry Stahl of Clinton; 19 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard, her son, Tommy, her grandson, Brock, a brother, Darrel, and a sister, Val.
