Ilene Marie Spittler age 81 of Clinton, IA passed away Saturday Oct. 31, 2026 at Eagle Point Nursing Home, Clinton. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM Saturday Nov. 14th at Prince of Peace Parish. Visitation held Saturday 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at the church. Burial will be held at St. Irenaeus Cemetery. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family. Full obit at www.papefh.com
Ilene was born on April 25, 1945 in Clinton, IA the daughter of Karl and Mary Kay (Thyne) Spittler. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Mercy Hospital, Jane Lamb Hospital, and at Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines, IA. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and square dancing.
Ilene is survived by her 7 brothers and sisters, Joe (Jayne) Spittler of Woodstock, IL, Marcia Engler of Nevada, IA, Virginia Kelly of Eldridge, IA, Mark (Pam) Spittler of Clinton, IA, Tony (Janet) Spittler of Clinton, IA, Jane (David) Hayes of Clinton, IA, and Matt (Peggy) Spittler of Clinton, IA; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Barb and Bernadette, and a brother, Dick.
