A service will take place at 4:00 PM. I true Jeff fashion, please feel free to wear your favorite Hawaiian/wild/casual attire.

Jeff was born in Clinton on April 28, 1954, the son of Donald and Catherine (Bartels) Brooks and grew up in Charlotte. He graduated from Northeast High School in 1972. Until his retirement, he worked at Alcoa. He was active in Brothers and Sisters in Christ, AA and had served on the Board of Directors of ASAC from 2013 to 2018. In his XXII years of sobriety, the amount of volunteer work and the lives that he touched is immeasurable. He enjoyed the ocean, sun, sand, golfing, astronomy, history, and riding his e-bike. He was an awesome craftsmen and woodworker who could fix anything. He made friends easily and would do anything for anybody.

Jeff is survived by 2 daughters; Erin Beal (Ray Johnson) of Camanche and Mandy (Dan) Hodge of DeWitt; 5 grandchildren, Beau and Izzy Beal and Jamison, Tyler, and Spencer Hodge, and 2 nieces, Kim and Heather. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and his sister, Marsha. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial made to your choice of a sober living nonprofit organization or BASIC in Fulton, IL in Jeff’s name. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
