Jeanette E. Glahn, age 87 of Camanche, Iowa, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Clinton. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 PM Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Glahn Cemetery, Charlotte. Pallbearers will be Jordan Kane, Dan Sullivan, Marty Schnoor, Jeff King, Eileen Mull, and Tammy Campie. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Streets, Mike Long, and Don Kane. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Jeanette was born in Monticello, Iowa on June 10, 1936, the daughter of Henry and Alice (Streets) Oltmanns. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1955. Jeanette married Wesley Glahn on June 7, 1958 in Clinton. Wesley passed away on July 24, 1996. Jeanette had been employed at the Clinton Garment Factory and later with the Camanche School District for 30 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed being with family and friends and as a home body liked working in her yard.
Jeanette is survived by twin daughters, Jane (Donald) Kane of Clinton and Jean Glahn of Camanche; 2 grandchildren, Jordan (Ivy) Kane of Camanche and Tanya (Paul) Balah, of South Carolina and 2 great grandchildren, Jaxxsen and Kaleb. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wesley; and her sister, Barbara Haley. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
