Donald E. Feller, age 89 of Clinton, passed away Friday, September 22, 2023 at his home. Cremation rites will be accorded. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 PM on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at the Pape Funeral Home, with a Memorial service will follow.
Don was born in Preston, Iowa on August 17, 1934, the son of Benjamin and Vernita (Borman) Feller. He graduated from Maquoketa High School. Don married Joyce Marion Hill on August 4, 1956 in Colorado Springs, CO. Joyce passed away on April 16, 2019. Don served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was an insurance agent with John Hancock for many years. He was also a member of Prince of Peace Parish and the Knights of Columbus. Don enjoyed being with family and friends.
Don is survived by 2 children; Linda C. Feller of Quincy MA and Bryan (Lori) Feller of Greenwood, IN, and 3 grandchildren; Colten, Nolan, and Dayna Feller. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Joyce; his sister, Bernadine, and his brother, Delbert. Memorials may be made in Don’s name to the American Heart Association. As a kid, for years, I always knew Christmas was soon approaching when Don, my parents’ life insurance agent, would pay a visit to our home with Christmas Carole books in hand. Don was always so friendly and had the best smile. Rest In Peace, Don. Thank you for this simple but wonderful memory that takes me right back to home as a child. Thinking of his family and friends.
