Connie Sue Cauthorn age 63 of Clinton, IA, passed away Friday July 14, 2023 at her home. Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service to be held 11:00 AM Saturday July 22nd at the Pape Funeral Home. A gathering will be held Saturday 10:00 AM until the service hour at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery, Clinton. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
Connie was born on July 28, 1959 in Burlington, IA, the daughter of William and Donna (Richardson) Cauthorn. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1978. Connie worked at the Visiting Nurses Association in Clinton as a home health aide for many years. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and making Christmas cookies with her nieces and nephew.
Connie is survived by her two sisters, Karen Cauthorn and Joni Lambert both of Clinton, IA; her brother, Bill (Debi) Cauthorn of Rock Falls, IL; three nieces, Kylie, Brionna, and Brooke; and her nephew, Shaun. She was preceded in death by her parents.
There are no words to express the heartbreak of Connie’s passing. She was a true friend and incredible person, fun-loving and genuinely caring to all. When we were young, she always said when her time came she would be instantly thin, munching on butterfingers, and enjoying every moment with the Lord — she also said she’d have a list of questions for Him (so true to Connie). She and Jesus are no doubt having long talks.
