John M. Banker IV age 61 of Clinton, IA, passed away Sunday May 7, 2023 at his home. Cremation rites will be accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
John was born on Dec. 4, 1961 in Clinton, IA, the son of John “Jack” and JoAnn (Ottens) Banker III. He worked at Ralston Purina as Team Leader for over 30 years. John married Kimberly “Kim” Nowlin on Feb. 19, 1983 in Cedar Rapids, IA. He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish and enjoyed fishing and camping. He also was a Little League Baseball coach.
John is survived by his wife, Kim Banker of Clinton, IA; three children, John (Jessie) Banker V, Nicholas (Rhonda) Banker and Stephanie Banker both of Clinton, IA; seven grandchildren, Michael Griffin, Jace Banker, Madison Whitfield, Bianca Banker, Sawyer Stoller, Rowan Banker, and Sander Stoller; his mother, JoAnn Banker of Clinton, IA; three brothers, Steve (Michele) Banker of Clinton, IA, Paul (Connie) Banker of Fulton, IL, and Mike (Lisa) Banker of Waukee, IA; five sisters, Merry Hofreiter of Morris, IL, Kathy (Bob) Birkett of Clinton, IA, Kim (John) Chambless of Cady, TX, Pam Banker of Clinton, IA, and Jackie (Kevin) Burken of Clinton, IA; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
