Mildred L. Drury age 79 of Clinton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 25, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones at The Alverno Health Care Facility, Clinton. Funeral service will be held Noon Saturday April 29th at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday 10:00 AM – Noon at the funeral home. Cremation rites will follow the funeral service. Mildred was born on April 11, 1944 in Tinsley, KY the daughter of Roy and Ella Mae (Miracle) Gibson. She worked at the former Pearson Cleaners in Clinton for over 18 years. Mildred enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading, car rides, Western movies, and especially family gatherings.
Mildred is survived by her two sons, Roy E. Brown of Clinton, IA and Herb (Michelle) Brown of Lawrenceville, GA; 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; and her brother, Bill (Deanna) Gibson of Clinton, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Mike, a daughter in infancy, Maxine, three brothers, a sister, and a daughter-in-law, Mary.
