Georgia A. Kane – 90

Georgia A. Kane, age 90 of Clinton, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023 at her home. In following Georgia’s wishes cremation rites will be accorded. A private family graveside service will be held at Oakland Cemetery. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Georgia was born in Clinton on February 22, 1933, the daughter of Joseph M. and Nellie Irene (Chase) Kohten. She attended Clinton Schools and received an AA Degree from Clinton Community College. Georgia married George Robert Kane on September 16, 1950 in Clinton. George passed away on September 9, 2018. She was a former member of St. Irenaeus Catholic Church. Georgia enjoyed gardening, quilting, and working and spending time outdoors.
Georgia is survived by three children; Patricia Schluns (Larry Gillam) of Moline, IL, Dianna Huling of Camanche, and Michael Kane of Clinton; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; a daughter-in-law, Claudia Kane of Jacksboro, TN, and a close nephew, Daniel Sinkey. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George; a son, Robert; 2 sons-in-law, Allen Huling and Paul Schluns; 4 sisters, Patricia, Theresa, Josephine, and Ruth, and 2 brothers, Carl and Harold.
