Craig A. Christiansen, age 73 of Clinton, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at The Alverno. According to his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held on from 2-5 PM on Monday, February 27th at the Clinton Moose Lodge, 1936 Lincoln Way, Clinton, IA 52732. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
Craig Aaron Christiansen was born in Clinton, IA on December 12, 1949 the son of Lee “PeeWee” and Myrtle (Brinkman) Christiansen. He married Sue Loots on April 10, 1971 in Clinton. Craig worked at Ralston Purina for 40 years. He was an avid NASCAR and drag racing fan, and also cheered on the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs. Craig was a member of the Clinton Moose and enjoyed working on cars. He also helped his wife Sue raise Shar-Pei and Boxer dogs.
Craig is survived by his wife Sue; two sons, Jason (Stacy) Christiansen and Josh Christiansen, both of Clinton; grandson Zayn; his dogs Bob and Jewel; sister Jo Ellen (Robert) Bahnsen of Bloomington, IL; brother-in-law Larry (Cedales) Loots of Pensacola, FL; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his in-laws, Robert and Izetta Loots.
