Nancy Ann Ehlers age 73 of Clinton, passed away Monday Dec. 5, 2022 at The Alverno Health Care Facility. Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday Dec. 10th from 2:00 – 6:00 PM at the Quality Inn and Suites, 2300 Lincolnway, Clinton, IA. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family. Nancy was born on Nov. 18, 1949 in Guernsey, IA, the daughter of Ray and Frances (Morrow) Schlesselman. She married Philip Ehlers on June 13, 1970 in Malcom, IA. Philip passed away on Oct. 19, 2021. Nancy was a Para Educator at Lyons and Washington Schools in Clinton. She attended First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed doing puzzles, board games, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Nancy is survived by her two daughters, Christina (Kevin) McQuistion of Clinton, IA and Patricia Ehlers of Cedar Rapids, IA; six grandchildren, Christopher, Allison, Alexis, Taylor, Samantha, and Arian; her great grandson, Jaxon; her brother, James Schlesselman of Florida; and a sister-in-law, Becky Schlesselman of Grinnell, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Philip, and a brother, David.
