Jason M. “JHo” Horst age 42 of Clinton, IA, passed away Monday Dec. 5, 2022 at his home. Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Friday at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday 9:00 AM until time of service. Burial will be at St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery. Following the graveside service a luncheon will be held at Slops. Jason was born on April 28, 1980 in Clinton, IA, the son of Richard and Bonnie (Migawa) Horst. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1999. He was manager of the Clinton Sherwin-Williams. Jason enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his Slops crew, golfing, playing in Fantasy Football Leagues, his cats, Marley and Cherish, and his dog, Spring. Jason was a fan of all sports but especially the Iowa Hawkeyes and Notre Dame Football. He was a dreamer and was always trying to come up with the next million dollar idea.

Jason is survived by his parents, Richard and Bonnie Horst; two brothers, Todd Horst of DeWitt, IA and Scott Horst of Clinton, IA; two sisters, Dawn Horst (Nick Herron) of West Bend, WI and Dayna (Nate) Burken of Camanche, IA; six nieces and nephews, Colby, Riley, Tayton, Nolan, Katelynn, and Easton. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
