Vera Noordt, 87 of Clinton, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Eagle Point Nursing Home. According to her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Vera Jean Noordt was born in Clinton, IA on February 22, 1938, the daughter of John and Berniece (Witt) Fenzel. She married Donald Noordt and they later divorced. She worked mostly in Data Entry, being employed with A.C. Nielsen, Data Dimensions, and Swiss Colony. She enjoyed bowling, and spending time with her family. After retirement, she dedicated most of her time helping out with her grandchildren.
Vera is survived by her children, Katherine (Richard Wittek) Frost and Donald (Tonia) Noordt, both of Clinton; grandchildren, Alexander (Alyssa Baker) Noordt and Lindsay (Jack) Adolphson; great-grandchildren, Caden and Evelyn; a sister, Nancy Housenga of Greenfield, IN; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters and three brothers.
Kate, I just now received word of Vera’s passing. I am so sorry for your loss. Only the passing of time will help ease the pain of your loss. The memories you have made with your Mother will be forever.
