Robert E. “Rob” Ebensberger age 62 of Clinton, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2025 at his home. A visitation will be held from 11:00 Am until 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at the Pape Funeral Home. A Rose Croix service will begin at 1:00 PM. A luncheon will follow at the Clinton AMVETS.
Rob was born in Clinton on July 8, 1962, the son of Marvin and Bernie (Law) Ebensberger. He ran track and cross country at Clinton High School, graduating in 1980. Rob received his Business Management Degree from Northeast Missouri State College. Rob married Sheila Kagemann on September 19, 1987 in DeWitt. Rob was employed at PFC in Camanche for 25 years. He began his career as a Sales Representative, and worked his way up to a General Manager. He then enjoyed selling cars at McEleney Motors for a few years until he started working at the Wild Rose Casino. During most of his adult life, Rob worked a few nights and weekends at his favorite bar, Doyles. Rob was a dedicated Jaycee member, a 32nd Degree Mason member of the Lyon’s Lodge AF and AM and a Shriner. He enjoyed coaching his sons, golfing, fishing with his brother Scott, and sitting out back with family and friends around the bonfire. He was an Iowa Hawkeye and Washington Redskin fan.
Rob is survived by his wife Sheila; 2 sons, Adam Ebensberger and Derek (Kaitlin) Ebensberger both of Clinton; a grandson, Myles; 2 sisters, Sherry (Kathy) Ebensberger and Debbie (Joe) Farrell both of Clinton; 4 brothers, Kevin (Priscilla) Ebensberger of Peoria, AZ, Danny (Deb) Ebensberger of Clinton, Scott (Caroline) Ebensberger of Clinton, and Jeff (Dawn) Ebensberger of Clinton; a brother-in-law, Bill Kagemann of Calamus, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Dale Feaster. The family would like to thank Mercy Hospice and the Clinton Fire Department for the care. So sorry to hear this. I worked with Rob at PFC and then 20+ years later at UFP. Most recently, he was a key volunteer for the Clinton Half Marathon event. I knew we could depend on him to work on course security each year. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
