To the family and friends of Bob Hudson. I give my deepest sympathy for your loss. My name is Mae, there’s are a few of you that may know me as his South Carolina mother. Around 38 years ago, when Bob was in the military, he visited our cafeteria mess hall, and God’s plan was put in place. Of all the people there, we met, people say you can’t pick your family, but God says differently. because Bob chose me to call Mom, and it was from that day forward he became my son he gave me flowers the next day. He brought his birth mother to meet me and we went to church one year. Another year, his father came with him to meet me. He’s shared every part of his life with me. There’s not been a birthday or Christmas Easter Mother’s Day that he didn’t send me a card to say I love you Mom every opportunity that allowed him to come back to South Carolina or just come through South Carolina he made sure
he visited me I never got to meet my grandson Jax his dog but Bob made sure I got pictures of him. I just want the Hudson family to know how blessed they are and how blessed I’ve been to share the life and the love of Bob. My heart cries but at the same time it rejoices for the love and the memories that remain with me and I pray that you all will continue to keep that spot that Bob holds in our heart alive and happy because that’s what he was pure happiness and joy in our lives. I will miss his face.I will miss hearing his voice. but never his LOVE. I love each and every one of you. Thanks for sharing your son, your uncle, your brother, your cousin, your friend with me and my family, and know that you are family to me.
Sorry for your loss ..Bob was a good person. .Ill miss talking to him….He had the best jokes ..
Bob always injected humor in every conversation. I considered him to be one of my best friends. I will really miss talking sports and news with him. One of the best human beings I ever knew. RIP Bob.
I grew up with Terry, Bobs little brother, so I practically lived at the Huddy house. Bob treated me like a little brother as well, yelled at me, picked on me, wrestled and wiped my butt too sometimes genuinely made me feel like family and I appreciate and loved him for that. He was an Iowa Hawkeye, Veteran, uncle, son, brother, many things, but mostly a great person thru and through. You will be missed very much, my friend, my brother. Love you brother.
Condolences to the whole family. He truly loved life, i’m going to miss our isle talks.

Bob was one of those people who attracted everyone around him with a lively personality and open smile that showed the kindness in who he was. He’ll be missed by his family and many friends. I’ve only known him for about 10 years but always looked forward to those times that I was privileged to see him. You’ll be missed buddy.
I didn’t have the pleasure of being a “close friend“ of Bob’s, but had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of years ago through dinner with friends. I always looked forward to seeing Bob. His laugh was sincere and contagious, and he was such a good storyteller!
