Robbert V. Beck, 92, of Clinton, formerly of Sabula, Iowa passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Addington Place in Clinton. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, April 13thth at Calvary Lutheran Church in Sabula. Visitation will be Monday from 11:30 – 1:00 PM at Calvary Lutheran Church, Sabula, where he was a member. Burial will be at Miles Cemetery in Miles, IA. Casket bearers will be his grandchildren. Robbert was born on September 9, 1933, in Jackson County, IA, the son of George and Arminda (Hageman) Beck, Sr. He was an US Army National Guard veteran, serving from 1953-1957. He married Lenora Oberman on Sept. 20, 1953, in Preston, Iowa. Robbert worked as a dairy farmer most of his life near the Miles, Iowa area.
He was a member of the Codfish Hollow Saddle Club, where his love of horses included running in game events, performing tricks with them at horse shows, and riding in parades. He also enjoyed playing cards, woodworking, collecting antique 2-cylinder John Deere tractors, going on tractor rides, and riding his Model A car in parades.
Robbert is survived by his wife, Lenora Beck of Clinton, IA; two children, Deb (Tom) Willwerth and Jim (Coralie) Beck both of Sabula, IA; 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters, and 3 brothers.
