Richard “Dick” Eversoll, age 68 of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Eagle Point Nursing Home. According to his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, May 17th from 10 – 11 AM at the Pape Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 11 AM. Dick was born in Clinton on July 24, 1953, the son of Leonard and Bernadine (Reckenberg) Eversoll. He graduated from CHS in 1971 and went on to spend 4 years at the University of Northern Iowa. Dick worked at the Cordova Nuclear Plant for 20 years and later worked security at ADM. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and spent many years umpiring softball at the Ericksen Center. Dick loved football, especially the UNI Panthers and the Green Bay Packers. He enjoyed playing cards and was very proud of his daughters.

Dick is survived by his two daughters, Megan (Ben) Vaughn of Rockton, IL and Molly Eversoll of Marquette, MI; three grandchildren; three sisters, Linda (Dr. Jan) Kotynek of Union Pier, MI, Georgia (Kevin) Hansen of Colorado Springs, CO, and Joan (Dan) Ball of Clinton; a brother, Steve “Alf” (Roxanne) Eversoll of Oregon, WI; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Lenny; and two sisters, Margaret Ann and Debra. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made out to the Ericksen Center in Clinton.
