James P. Irvine Sr. age 78 of Clinton, passed away Thursday Aug. 5, 2021 at West Wing Place in DeWitt. Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Monday Aug. 9th at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. James was born on June 2, 1943 in Chicago, IL, the son of Albert and Marjorie (Carlson) Irvine. He married Sharon Witkowski on Jan. 8, 1972 in Chicago, IL, she died in 2010. He worked as a mechanic with truck refrigeration repair. James enjoyed gambling, playing cards, Yahtzee, and Nintendo.
James is survived by his five children, Angele (Harvey) Eversoll of Clinton, James (Tracey) Irvine of Clinton, Jack (Jennifer) Irvine of Clinton, Jerry (Rachel) Irvine of Clinton, and Cindy Clancy-Fee of DeWitt; 9 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter; five brothers, Jack (Margie) Irvine, John (Alice) Irvine, David (Sheila) Irvine, Daniel (Gealdina) Irvine, and Michael (Zulma) Irvine; and a sister, Margie (Dan) Russell; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and four brothers.
I’m so sorry to hear about Jims passing. I loved spending time with he and Sharon when I was a kid. My deepest condolences to all of you. Praying for Jim and the rest of the family.
